I booked this hotel for my family in the Marikina to apply...

I booked this hotel for my family in the Marikina to apply for a USA visa, since I don't want them to travel in a heavy morning traffic, this place is just a walk away to the embassy. It's a great place for them to relax a day before their interview and not worry about the next day. We are all so thankful that they are got approved for 10-year visa. Woohoo

What was the highlight of Grand Riviera Suites

We made it work but would assume there are better places to spend your money.

Location is across from the US Embassy and has a view of the ocean from the room. Can walk to Intramuros, a mall and Manila Ocean Park. Unit pool was really nice and front desk was really helpful.Plenty of shops in the general area while not a great part of town.

Room states it can sleep 6 while the couch is really small and does NOT make into a bed. The renters remedy to this was to give a fold up bed that slept one. Still not sure how exactly you sleep six. There were alot of exposed wiring, the light in a bedroom was dangling from the wires. There was not a remote for the air conditioner in the living room so not able to adjust to a comfortable temerature. Water in one of the showers was not usable due to being cold. Place could use a good cleaning overall, found socks from previous guests when checking the sofa.

What was the highlight of Grand Riviera Suites

Beautiful room with nice view of Manila Bay

The room was exactly what it was in the photos. We used the two bedrooms and also the sofa for sleeping. They provided extra pillows at Room 1. The Kitchen was fully functional and had everything there from plates, utensils, microwave and rice cooker. The aircon was functioning well also. The place was good and big enough for a group. It was generally clean but need to tidy it up a little more. Plus points for the host who was nice, accommodating and attended to our inquiries promptly.

We had an issue with the outlet for the TV, Internet and TV Box since there was only one outlet and could serve only two of these. Need to provide extension cord to have them all working. And then there was little water from Bathroom 2 shower so we only used the Bathroom 1. Need to provide extra Tissue rolls as well and towels if the Owner wants to provide them as part of the lease.

The unit is very clean. Regular cleaning of aircon is needed. There should be bidet in the bathroom.

Bay view side is very relaxing.

Aircon in the bigger room is not functioning well.
